Mackie: No more than a drive and short-iron for most Open contenders if they avoid the bunkers on the corner of the slight right-to-left dog-leg with the tee shot. The Spectacles bunkers, twin traps in a ridge 70 yards short of the green, block off a view of the flag and the two bunkers that are set just short of a large, receptive green. Players who don't birdie this hole will feel they have dropped a shot.
